Biography

Marcia Dunn, M.D., a 1982 Brown graduate with a concentration in Semiotics, is an ophthalmologist specializing in corneal and refractive surgery. She earned her M.D. from Mount Sinai School of Medicine where she completed her residency and fellowship. She also holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University. She is a clinical instructor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she has served on the Department of Medicine Advisory Board and on their medical school admissions committee. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Marcia Dunn's involvement with Brown University includes serving on the Public Art Committee. She has been a past member of several councils, including the Women's Leadership Council, co-chairing the conference 125 Years of Women at Brown, the President’s Leadership Council, the Internship Council, and the Parents’ Leadership Council. Beyond her contributions to Brown, Dunn is involved in the arts and education. She is currently a board member of the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Dallas Museum of Art, where she chairs the Collections Committee.
