Biography

Marcia J. Dunn, M.D., a 1982 Brown graduate, with a concentration in Semiotics, is an ophthalmologist specializing in corneal and refractive surgery. She serves as a clinical instructor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. At Mount Sinai, she served as a member of the medical school admissions committee and the Department of Medicine Advisory Board. Dunn earned an M.D. from Mount Sinai School of Medicine and completed her residency and fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dunn was a member of the Brown Women's Leadership Council where she co-chaired the conference 125 Years of Women at Brown, co-chaired the Programming Committee and served on the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force. In addition to other Brown commitments, she is a member of the Internship Council and the Parents Leadership Council and serves on the Brown Public Art Committee. She also served on the Brown Presidents Leadership Council. In addition to her position as an Alumni Chair at Education Equity, she is currently a board member of the Dallas Museum of Art and Lessonbee. She is a trustee emeritus of the Parrish Art Museum, TADA! Youth Theater, and of the Roundabout Theatre Company. She is a member of the Musical Theater Council of The Public Theater and the Photography Committee at the Whitney Museum of American Art. She is also a Board Member emeritus of Parents in Action NYC.
