Biography

Shanelle Chambers Haile is a consultant in McKinsey & Company’s Boston office, advising clients in the social- and public-sectors. She is currently serving a one-year appointment as a Visiting Fellow at nonprofit think tank FCLTGlobal, where she leads efforts to amplify and measure the impact of research on practices that promote long-term capital allocation in global markets. Shanelle is also a founding board member of the Cultural Equity Lab and brings a decade of public-sector experience with the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Agency for International Development.

At Brown University, she served as a graduate community fellow for student-parents and graduate coordinator at the Sarah Doyle Center for Women and Gender. She also completed a one-year apprenticeship in the Provost’s Office and a Mellon Proctorship in the Department of Sociology, supporting departments with strategic planning. 

Shanelle holds a BA from Spelman College, an MS from Vanderbilt University, and a PhD in Sociology from Brown University.
