Biography

Joseph P. Healey was a co-founder, partner, co-chief executive officer and portfolio manager of HealthCor Management, a health care and life sciences investment management firm from 2005 to 2022. HealthCor was purchased by Catalio Management in 2022, which is now co-owned by KKR. He serves as a senior executive advisor to the Catalio Public Equities platform. He is also co-founder and partner of the affiliated HealthCor Partners Management, a health care private equity firm. Previously, from 2000 to 2005, Healey was a portfolio manager at SAC Capital Advisors. He additionally served as a health care portfolio manager at Kingdon Capital Management and as an analyst and portfolio manager at Dreyfus Corporation. Healey served as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center from 1988 to 1992. Healey earned a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering from Boston University and a master's in technology management from the University of Maryland and a Certified Financial Analyst(CFA). He is a member emeritus of the Dean's Leadership Advisory Board for the College of Engineering at Boston University, and a co-chair of the Child Mind Institute in New York. He was a Brown parent.
